“Meghatithi is a filmmaker who has been working on issues of land, water and forest for over a decade.”
 
Meghatithi is a filmmaker who has been working on issues of land, water and forest for over a decade. He believes in using film as a medium of positive change and activism to give voice to those who are otherwise unheard. He has produced and directed a five film series “Himalaya Man & Nature” based on the positive stories of change in Himalayan region which was released by United Nation and TERI in 2013. The same series were screened at various national and international festivals and locations.
He has also made films for organisations like World Wild Life Fund, Argyam, Himcon and Himalaya Sewa Sangh. His film “Reclaiming The Night” based on the issue of women security in Delhi won the best film award at the MegaCity ShortDocs film completion at Paris, France in 2016. He has also won best film awards for 3 films in two year named “Yamuna Ke Gotakhor”, “No Honking Man” and “She” at the Yes Foundation film competition in 2015, 2016-17. For his passion and work towards environmental issues he was facilitated by Yes Foundation in the year 2017 as the “Change Maker of the Year”.
He holds a Bachelors in Mass Communication and Journalism Degree and has a MBA degree specialising in Media Industry from Whistling Woods International (Mumbai) and Manipal University (Bangalore)
